Week 17 and final regular season games of the NFL season. It has flown by, but it has been a very good year. This is a tough week, with many games having little importance on the playoff picture.
Houston Texans (H) vs New England Patriots (Texans by 7.5, opened 6.5)
I am going with the Texans -7.5 as they have a lot to play for today and the Patriots are only playing for the 3 or 4 seed. If you are the Patriots who would you rather play in the divisional round of the playoffs, at Indianapolis (where they outplayed the Colts) or at San Diego? Without the bye next week, I think the Patriots will take it easy today in Houston.
Dallas Cowboys (H) vs Philadelphia Eagles (Cowboys by 3, opened 3)
I am going with the Cowboys -3 as I think they have the December monkey off their back and are playing excellent football. I like the way the Cowboys matchup this year against the Eagles and I know the Cowboys have revenge in their minds after getting routed by the Eagles the final game of last season.
San Diego Chargers (H) vs Washington Redskins (Chargers by 3, opened 6)
I am going with the Redskins +3 as it looks like the Chargers will rest many of their starters. As bad as the Redskins are, I think their first team will be able to beat the Chargers second team. If they have any pride and any respect for head coach Jim Zorn the Redskins will give a solid effort today.
Tennessee Titans vs Seattle Seahawks (Titans by 6, opened 5)
I am going with the Seahawks +6 in a straight public fade. My indicators all point to the public being heavy on the Titans. I don’t think they will get an easy one as I think the Seahawks play well at home in the final game of the season.
Texans -7.5 (3 out of 5)
Cowboys -3 (3 out of 5)
Redskins +3 (3 out of 5)
Seahawks +6 (3 out of 5)
