TV Spot on DML: Unfiltered

on Newsmax TV

Sorry this spot was back on May 25th, 2016, but I’m just posting it now.

Diana Furchtgott-Roth and I join Dennis discuss automation and what it will mean for the American economy.

Here is an article on robotics and white color jobs posted on June 5th on The Daily Beast.

I join Dennis along with a pair of economists to discuss the raising of the minimum wage. At the end there is an obligatory question about Donald Trump.

TV Spot on DML: Unfiltered

on Newsmax TV

Scott Carter and I join to discuss the election’s impact on the economy. Personally I don’t think the President has much of an impact. I try to get the NewsMax viewers who are staunch Donald Trump supporters to consider John Kasich because he by far has a better chance to win the general election in November.

Three very likeminded guests who help try to convince Newsmax and DML viewers that Donald Trump is not the answer for the Republican Party.

A spirited round table debate. I feel I was appropriately in the middle as that is where I am on the political spectrum.

TV Spot on DML: Unfiltered

on Newsmax TV

I was hoping my appearance on Dennis Michael Lynch: Unfiltered would bring more eye balls to this website, but that doesn’t look like that will be happening. It is never good on Facebook when you have more comments than likes (unless you are asking a question). “My cat died” shouldn’t get likes. It should get comments like “condolences xoxo”, “RIP Furball” and “Thank goodness that thing constantly smelt of piss” (with a like). Twenty-two hours after the video of my spot was posted to Facebook there have been over 10,000 views, 92 shares, 241 likes and 286 comments. Aside from my own and a few other I solicited the comments are nasty. Thankfully I worked on the New York Mercantile Exchange trading floor starting at age 17 and I have developed a thick skin. The viewers of Newsmax are evidently even further more right on the political spectrum than I had realized. Here is a selection of the comments on Facebook cut and pasted:

“If we wanted to listen to this crap….we would just watch Fox News or any other liberal media!!!!”
“Was a peckerwood……..”
“Is he a Fox News plant”
“Guess he likes to loose too.”
“You should asked that guy how much he has made in his business since 1982. He is an idiot!!!”
“I don’t like David Alcaro, I wonder which super pack pulled his puppet strings….”
“is this another liberal must be”
“this guy is a no nothing”
“This guy is obviously part of the plan to screw the American people.”

That last one seemed a bit harsh.

I moved my head around too much, but otherwise I thought it was an alright effort first time on TV and first time ever wearing makeup. I have heard some say don’t worry about your head moving. I was thinking maybe full on embrace it and next time end my arguments like Benito Mussolini. I am embarrassed to post this as there is no other person I share my Italian heritage with that I am more shamed of and that includes the entire cast of the Jersey Shore. Joking aside the Washington Post, Ted Koppel, and Larry Willmore have all compared Donald Trump to the evil Fascist dictator, Il Douche.
